I couldn't even formulate a prayer request...but I never had to. I received a text that interrupted my pity party at a late hour in the night! The Prayer Minister of our church spoke a "Word in season" to my weary heart. He had no way of knowing the circumstances, the timing, nor the specifics of the place his text found me in. It was like the Voice of God calling out to me...showing Himself alive...By cell phone no less! Evidence of His presence...throwing me a deep anchor on a stormy sea.
He IS alive! As that faithful man of God reminded me...WE make it hard! It's when I take my eyes "off" Jesus, that I fall victim to the storm. And even then...His hand is reaching out to rescue me! The musician in me hears a Casting Crowns song rising up as my prayer of thanksgiving! "I'll praise You in this storm and I will lift my hands. For You are who You are no matter where I am. And every tear I've cried You hold in Your hand. You never left my side and though my heart is torn, I will praise You in this storm." Amen.
